Wonderful Products by #TheWonderSeed

May 29, 2016

I had the pleasure of reviewing The Wonder Seed.

I was beyond excited to receive and review on behalf of
Theresa the Co founder of The Wonder Seed. I am grateful
that Mary chose me to do this review.

It is so hard to find where to begin with these marvelous
products. I love everything about them from the packaging
to the size of the full size products to the scents and of
course the way these products make my skin feel.

The Wonder Seed unboxing

I love that for full size products they can go anywhere
with you from your home shower to the shower at the gym.

What impressed me was the silver protection cover which
you need to remove before using the product which ensures
freshness. That seal is important I think as you feel
more secure in knowing the company has taken the extra
step to lock in freshness and avoid contamination. I know
it may seem funny that I mention this but I have noticed
lately when I buy orange juice that they no longer have
that seal of protection. It is important as a consumer to
feel secure that your item hasn’t been contaminated with
and is sealed from the manufacturer. Anyways just my two
cents for what it is worth.

On to these fabulous little gems. So when I received them
I tried it naturally on my hands first. I smelled, felt,
applied, and enjoyed the feeling of each of the three

I received the Hemp Seed Facial Cleanser in English Daisy,
the Hemp Seed Facial Scrub in Water Lotus, and the Hemp
Seed Facial Cream – Water Lotus.

I really loved the scents. They were not at all overpowering but
subtle with just that ahhh feeling as you took it all in. The
textures of the products are light and airy. The cleanser
is clear but turned into a light foam as you apply. The
facial scrub is delicate and the granules are tiny and
not hard or harsh on the skin and seem evenly dispersed.
The facial cream is light and soft for the most delicate
of skins. It gives radiance and packs a lot of moisture
without residue or any greasy feeling. Leaving the skin
soft, dewy, moisturized, even, and gives a subtle over all

This morning I used these three delectable products. They
fit beautifully by my sink. It was such a pleasure to use
after I brushed my teeth and while I prepped to get ready
to head out to the gym. Let me tell you I am a soap and
water kind of girl. This routine was simple and easy and
took maybe only a minute or two.

I have very dry skin from having hypothyroidism. My face
especially is dry and over the last year has become
sensitive. I guess the fact that I will turn 45 in a few
days also has my skin sensitive. Sometimes I wake up with
redness on my cheeks and may have the odd pimple/breakout
from hormonal changes. From one use of these products on my
face; my face is moisturized, soft, radiant, and feels
incredible for the first time in a very long time.

Over the last year I somehow got eczema on my hands, and on
my elbows. From one use of these products on my hands I
can tell you I have a big difference in my eczema.

I love that this company is dong it right by being 100%
natural, vegan, with no parabens, and no artificial colors
or perfumes. They don’t test on animals and are eco-
conscious. The products are rich in virgin organic
hempseed oil. I mean it is no wonder that they have so
many excellent reviews and have won the best facial
moisturizer award. Congrats to Theresa that is HUGE!

I am eager to try out more of their products especially
their shampoo and body wash.

Our biggest organ is our skin. More and more people are
becoming more conscious of what they put on their skin as
we have learned that the ingredients we use on our skin
get absorbed into our bodies. It is important to know what
you put on and in your body.

I cannot wait to use these products right to the very end
and see what a difference it makes on my skin. I can tell
you though as I sit here writing this that hours later and
my skin feels incredibly soft and moisturized. Thank you
Theresa…My face thanks you!

Robin’s Soap Shoppe – #Handmade #Skincare Products

WAHM REVIEWER- Cecily Butler

I was sent item’s to base this review on, all of my thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

Robin’s Soap Shoppe

I have a friend in KY who when faced with the difficult decision of how to support her family decided to go back to what she knew best, soap making. Robin’s Soap Shoppe has been making cold process soap since 2002. In that time she’s made nearly 3000 bars of soap!! She makes the soaps out of her home by herself or with the help of her two teenage daughters. She’s a one woman show!! Robin is an army veteran and a single mother of 4. What makes Robin’s story more amazing is that she does this while fighting debilitating anxiety and arthritis.

Robin's Soap Shoppe

Robin’s soap Shoppe soaps are made with essential oils and fragrance oils. On top of smelling great they look beautiful too!!! I was so excited when I opened my box and found two of the most beautiful looking soaps I’d ever seen. I chose her Super Gardener soap. I love to get out and dig in the dirt and thought my hands would enjoy the pampering. I almost didn’t want to use the soap it was so pretty. It smelled amazing, clean and flowery at the same time, without being heavily perfumed or over powering.

Soap Robin's Soap Shoppe

This soap will totally change your thinking about soap. No longer will the 6 pack of cheap bar soap from the discount store work.  When you see the artwork and the time it takes to make these beautiful soaps you will never go back.

Robin sells her soaps through her Etsy shop Robin’s Soap Shoppe which I encourage you to visit and read more about her story and her journey into soap making. She also details the arduous process of making cold process soap. You can also check out her salves.

You can also follow her on facebook.  Robin’s Soap Shoppe on Facebook

Also, the pictures in this review were taken by Robin. She is an excellent photographer as well. I knew any pictures I took would not do her soaps justice.

Trades of Hope ~ LoriAnn #fairtrade #ethicalstyle #ethicalbusiness

WAHMReviewer – Laura

A while back, I came across a wonderful company called “Trades of Hope.” The first thing that drew me to them was all of the cool items they had. Items I’d never seen before ranging from purses and jewelry to home décor. Once I heard the backstory, I was sold!

“Trades of Hope” sells Fair Trade products made by women need around the world. By doing this, Trades of Hope offers women a way out of some pretty dangerous situations. All over the world, women work in terrible conditions in sweatshops and are even victimized in the sex trade. They do all of this just too barely get by and feed their families. These women are mothers, daughters and sisters.

Trades of Hope” has offered them freedom from these horrible conditions by giving them an opportunity, not a hand out. These women now have a readily available way to market their hand made goods to the world. In the product line, you can find items from women in Bangladesh, Haiti, Nepal, the Philippines and many more places. All in all, “Trades of Hope” works with 15 different artisan groups that cover 4 continents!

Now that you know about the company, I’ll tell you a bit about the products. I found my products through Lori Ann. You can find her at For this review, Lori Ann sent me the Butterfly Bird Feeder. I love it! Just look at it hanging there! It’s beautifully crafted and perfect for any bird lover.

Trades of Hope WAHMReviews

With each product, you can find information on the artisan group that made it. What a wonderful way to connect with women around the world. Each item has a personal touch. Each item means one more meal for a mother’s children, one more day that daughter doesn’t have to work in a sweatshop. You can help these women and fill your home with beautiful products at the same time! It’s a win/win in my book!

Lap Log from Bamboosa

This week, I am going to tell you about an American-made product that you might not know you need, but I’m going to tell you… you need it. It’s a Lap Log, made in South Carolina by Bamboosa. A Lap Log is a cylindrical bean bag (buckwheat hull bag, actually), sewn into an organic cotton twill cover, which has a pocket to secure a hand-sanded repurposed wood insert that holds your iPad,Kindle, Nook, or any kind of tablet.  It rests comfortably on your lap and adjusts simply on any surface.  It is light, comfortable, even kind of cuddly.  I loved it the moment I got my hands on it.

Lap Log WAHMReview Logo

My Lap Log arrived in a nice sturdy box, and when I opened it up, I got a pleasant surprise. The Log was nicely wrapped in tissue paper with a discreet recycled paper sticker on it. Because the Lap Log comes in a variety of colours I was able to choose the one I liked the most! Would you love to see it? Okay, here it is!

Lap Log WAHMReview

The one I received for this review is called Orchid Blooms. I love the flowers, what can I say, anything with flowers in a great item in my books! Each Lap Log is around 11″ X 6″, though the dimensions may vary slightly because they are handmade. The width of the interior of the wooden insert is 0.625 inches, so anything under that will fit.

I really wanted to test the Lap Log in many different places. From the Hair salon, in the car with my kidlets , letting others try it. To the library and more. I got some awesome reviews from clients and other family members how nice it is to be “handfree” while still being able to see the screen on their lap, on their desk to the floor and coffee table. I know my own daughter wanted to “keep it “ for herself . I think I just might have to get her one for her birthday in a few months.

Would love to find out your opinions as well, I would love for you to go to their website and tell me 2 of your favorite items , what color, or prints would you love to see in your house?
