EZ Squeezees Review

EZ squeezees are my new favorite product…seriously.  I pack lunch for my two kiddos every day and the ONLY things that they don’t complain about are their applesauce pouches and yogurt tubes.  I complain about it though:  They are costly.  They are not re-useable.  Who knows what is growing inside those bags/tubes?!? (gross!)  So far though I have chosen to concede the argument in exchange for my kiddos eating yogurt and applesauce daily without complaint…but I’ve known it could be done better.

EZ squeezees knew it could be done better…AND THEY DID IT!  CELEBRATION music please!  EZ squeezees was developed in Baltimore (MD) by parents who concluded that “manufacturers of processed foods were capitalizing on (parents’) desires for convenient and nutritious foods.”  But now parents have an option that is cost-effective and eco-friendly.

EZ Squeezees:  Reusable food pouches for all ages. They are cost effective and eco friendly! They are BPA and Phthlate free!  The are dishwasher and freezer safe!  Plus you can write on the back of them so you don’t have to guess…or taste test…to figure out which one is applesauce and which one is the smoothie!  Best part yet?  They are super easy to use…just FILL*SQUEEZE*EAT*REPEAT!

Ok so my conclusion is that I can’t live without them.  But when I first received them in the mail I admit I was skeptical – mostly about cleaning them.  So I’ve put them to the test.  I’ve used them for several weeks filling them with applesauce, yogurt, yogurt with sprinkles, even a smoothie.  I even forgot to empty one for two days (in my defense my daughter left her lunchbox stuffed under the seat in the car.)  They have large side openings which make them easy to fill…and easy to clean.  I was able to easily rinse and scrub the inside of the pouch with a cloth before placing in the dishwasher.

If you are looking for a way to feed your child(ren) healthy and convenient foods or even a way to carry a healthy snack for yourself, I highly recommend EZ squeezees.  They even haverecipes listed on their website for fruits, veggies, smoothies, paleo, Whole30 and more!  By using EZ squeezees you can save money, save the environment, and feel good about “convenience” eating.

You can purchase EZ squeezee pouches online with your choice of small caps (ages 3+) orlarge caps (ages 0+)  For this review I tested the larger style lids which were easy to twist on and off and were about an inch and a half in diameter.  You can purchase a starter kit with two 3 packs of  pouches plus 6 replacement caps (either size) for $19.99, a 3 pack of pouches for $9.99 or a 9 pack of pouches for $24.99.

The Natural Choice Apothecary #skincare #Natural

WAHM Reviewer – Kristina Mumma

Disclaimer: I received the products detailed below to facilitate my review. No other compensation was received. All opinions expressed are my own.

natural choice apothecary

The Natural Choice Apothecary can be found on Etsy providing “all your Natural Apothecary needs from salves, scrubs, lotions, lip balm, calming aids, and even natural candles to create the perfect bath and body get away while staying natural and organic!” In addition to their Etsy shop, they can be found on Facebook as well as a facebook VIP group where you can participate in promotional events, get sneak peeks at new products and even be first to try them!

The Natural Choice Apothecary

One of the reasons I was most excited to complete this review was because of the products being of a holistic nature.  As a holistic health practitioner and advocate for holistic remedies, reviewing natural health/home products is of utmost interest.  Also because of my background, I tend to scrutinize products that purport to be “natural”, “organic”, “healing.” With The Natural Choice Apothecary any skepticism was quickly appeased as Carolyn, the owner, is an educated herbalist and creates wonderful natural products with quality ingredients!   (and I am admittedly picky when it comes to this genre! J)

So what exactly did I review? 1 full size tin of Sleepy Balm, 1 tube of Herbal infused Lip Butter and 1 sample pot of All Purpose Herbal Balm.

Natural Choice Apothecary group

Another new favorite of mine is the Herbal Infused Lip Butter.  I admit I was skeptical of this item.  I’m not a huge fan of most lip products- often they are too oily/greasy or too waxy.  I also am not a fan of the artificially “flavored” lip products. That said, I LOVED this Lip Butter!  It was smooth, subtly scented and just the right amount of moisture for my lips!  This items is made with: Olive Oil, Organic Calendula Flowers, Organic Plantain Leaves, Organic Lavender Flowers, Organic Lavender Buds, Organic Echinacea Angustifolia Flowers, Organic Echinacea Angustifolia Root, Organic Cocoa Butter, Unbleached Beeswax, Vitamin E Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Tea Tree Essential Oil.  I have a feeling that I’ll be ordering a few extras soon because my 11 year old daughter seems to have taken a liking to this product as well!

Herbal Infused Lip Butter

The third product I reviewed was a sample of All Purpose Herbal Balm…I absolutely LOVE this product!  When I first received it I used it on a small patch of eczema that I had on my face.  It was soothing and my eczema seemed to clear up in just one day!  My true appreciation of this product, though was today.  My daughter fell off a motorized scooter (the kind you stand on NOT the kind you ride on!) and skinned her knees and broke her elbow.  Her elbow was scraped and bleeding as well as swollen.  You can imagine the tears and pain.  After cleaning her wounds I applied the herbal balm.  It was light, went on smoothly and actually soothed the scraped areas.  My daughter was afraid that anything I put on her boo boo would burn but this was 100% pain free…plus it meets my standards!  This Herbal Balm is made with organic olive oil infused with organic calendula flowers (super healing ingredient!), organic plantain, organic lavender buds, organic Echinacea Angustifolia, organic coconut oil, beeswax, tea tree oil, lavender oil and vitamin E oil.  In addition to how I used this Healing Balm, according to the product page it can be applied to small cuts, scrapes, bruises, sunburn, diaper rash, chapped skin & lips, severe cracked skin, Eczema, Psoriasis, external yeast infections and vulvular irritation.

all purpose herbal balm

Over all I found The Natural Choice Apothecary to be a fabulous resource for natural apothecary products.  The packaging is cute, ingredients are clearly detailed and each product page in the etsy shop lists product uses.  You can purchase these products as well as others online at http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheNaturalApothecary, follow on the FaceBook  fan page, join the FaceBook VIP group or Follow on Twitter. The Natural Choice Apothecary is sure to become one of my favorite resources…I highly recommend trying out a product or two – I’d be surprised if you didn’t love it like me!

 #TruNaked experience

Disclaimer: I received in my voxbox. All free in exchange for review. #Igotitfree+Influenster # #COVERGIRL #VoxBox products from #influenster: #Plumpify #OhSugar #TruNaked experience #Voxbox whoo!

Hello everyone,
Today I am sharing with you the goodies I received from *influenster.com

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the eye shadow palette but I didn’t receive it in my voxbox not all influenster members got the eye shadow but I really wanted too.  I was so excited when I got my voxbox that I thought it was in the package but I did not get it.

I did get the Plumpify mascara in very black and the OhSugar lipbalm. in 04 Taffy Tire.
I think the pictures can speak for me and you can tell the different just a bit of mascara and lipbalm can make. The mascara was a soft black and looked great when I tested it. The twist wand swirled across my eye lashes really made my eyes pop as I have pale blond eye lashes and I can tell how long my eye lashes are with the Plumpify mascara.  I recommend the mascara to all of my friends to try

The Ohsugar lipbalm in 04 Taffy tire was so light and felt very soft on my lips. It was the perfect matching shade when I applied it the lipstick looked like a tinted lipbalm on me. I recommend the Oh sugar to all of my friends to try. They come in all kinds of shades I can’t wait to try more

#Ohsugar #Covergirl #pimpify
I have pale blonde eye brows and eye lashes so mascara is something I use almost daily.  You can really see the different the right side has no make up the left has only the mascara.
As you can see a bit of shine on my lips how natural looking the #ohsugar in 04 Taffy tire looks like a tinted lip balm because that’s what it is only it looks like lipstick and applies like lipstick. The plumpify took almost no effort to pump up my eye lashes.

Thrive by Le-vel with Lauren Lewis

I’ve done other product reviews for Lauren before. I super excited when she asked me to do a review for the new product she’s been using. She asked if I had ever tried Thrive, by Le-vel before. I had heard of it off and on in the direct sales circles I’m in but never really knew what it was. This is how she explained it to me

“(It’s a) 3 yr old company that helps fill in gaps of nutrition to your body so you can be at your peak level! A lot of vitamins/antioxidants/probiotics raw fruits/veggies all coming together through capsules mix and wearable nutrition and most people within 2-3 days feel increased energy higher metabolism less stress happier mood mental clarity joint support and more!”  (You can also check out her website at http://www.lewis1lk.le-vel.com )

She asked if I’d like to do a review on it and I said SURE!! I      wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but I knew there were some  kind of patches involved. When I got the package I had two packages of pills and 2 packages of a shake and 3 patches. The instructions were easy, and within 30 mins of getting up I was done with pills for the day!! This is a big thing for me because I get busy and forget to take them…..The patches can be worn in multiple places so you can show them off or cover them up. Just make sure it’s a clean firm area like your hip, thigh, or bicep. Oh, and it stays on for 24 hours.

Lauren told me that sometimes people notice a difference the first day and some don’t notice a difference until a few days in. So I was curious how long it would take me to notice. I started my 3 day trial on a Saturday. We got up and I took my pill, drank my half a shake (which I chose to do with water b/c I’m watching calories) and put my patch on my arm. The shake wasn’t bad, probably would have been better with milk or orange juice, but it was such a small amount that it wasn’t bad with just water. Plus, it blended well and wasn’t chalky. We worked in the yard and around the house most of the morning (usually I drag thru Saturday morning). Then we spent the afternoon at the river. I was a little worried that the patch wouldn’t survive sunscreen and river water, but it did. I didn’t even have a funny pale square on my arm after being in the sun all day. I felt good all day long, no midafternoon draggy time or anything.

Sunday was church, potluck and then the lake. I ALWAYS take a nap on Sunday afternoon. But…..nope. I was a little tired (who isn’t on Sunday afternoon and especially after a potluck) and figured I would snooze on the 45 min drive to the lake. No napping for me. I wasn’t even tired at all by the time we got the boat loaded. This time I put the patch on the upper back part of my hip. It survived too.

Monday was 2 pills instead of one. I put the Thrive patch on my thigh. I wore tight shorts as I had a kettlebell class that morning. The patch survived kettlebell. I was soaked with sweat by the time I was done with that class. I then came home, worked around the house and yard with my kids. Decided to run a mile (I don’t run…..ok, I’m starting to run, but I don’t really like it.) Spent the afternoon folding laundry and working around the house, even cleaned the kids’ rooms with them. Then, that evening I talked my hubby into a mile plus long walk…… Yes, he asked who I was and what I had done to his wife.

thrive thigh

Tuesday, my first day without Thrive…..went to cycle class, came home worked around the house, took the kids to swimming lessons, came home made lunch….crashed and took a 2 hour nap!

Thrive Shakes

I must admit, I was skeptical at first, but it worked. I had amazing energy. Like crazy amazing. One of the things I like about this company is the products are 98% natural. Plus even though the price tag might seem hefty to some, there is a way to get it free….I’m really going to work on that!!

Oh- and while it has nothing to do with the performance of the product but to me it’s important!! He he. The patches come in several designs and colors. So if you want to wear them where others can see them, you can be cute and stylish too!!

If you want to learn more about Thrive and about how you can get a 3 day sample and try it for yourself contact Lauren at lewis1lk@gmail.com and remember to check out her website at http://www.lewis1lk.le-vel.com

Drinking with ease with Faucet Face

WAHMRevwier – Melissa McClure

Let me tell you, everything tastes better in a glass bottle. Why did they change to plastic? Plastic is cheaper and costs the company less money to make. Did you know that plastic has been known to leak chemicals into the liquid that it holds? It also fills landfills. Different water bottling companies have created these amazing commercials for their products and let’s face it; American’s are addicted to drinking bottled water. These water bottles then fill up our landfills and cause pollution and other harmful substances that hurt our environment.

Faucet Face WAHMReview

Faucet Face has created a water bottle that is made of glass. When glass is used there is no nasty chemicals that get leaked into the water, its reusable and saves you money instead of purchasing cases upon cases of water.

I am an avid fitness person. In the mornings before I get ready for work I run and currently have been doing Focus T25. I admit I have fallen prey to the addition of bottled water, it’s just so convenient. But when I got the chance to do a review for a glass water bottle I was all over it. My family and I recycle, reduce, and reuse many items so my bottled water addiction didn’t make me feel so bad but I knew I needed to change. This review came at the perfect time as I was currently looking for a replacement for my water drinking habits.

When my box came that was labeled Faucet Face I was like a little kid on Christmas morning. I opened the box and was automatically taken away with this bottle. I couldn’t believe how thick this glass was! That was one of the areas of concern that I was worried about…what if I dropped this bottle? Is it going to shatter on me? Of course my son (who is 3 years old) loves to get mail and presents too so he helped me open the box and that was literally the first thing that happened….he accidently dropped it on the floor. Solid. Absolutely nothing happen, and it didn’t even scratch the lettering on the bottle that reads, “Tap is Terrific.”

Faucet Face Bottom WAHMReview

Faucet Face has three different bottles to choose from and I was able to pick which one I wanted. My favorite color is blue so of course I picked the blue lettering bottle. The other two were absolutely awesome looking as well, one was green that says “Hose Water” and the other one had beautiful humming birds on them. A hard choice but I got it done.

Faucet Face 100 Liters of Clean water WAHMReview

Inside the bottle is a tiny slip of paper and it states, “Each bottle you buy will provide a minimum 100 liters of clean water for a family in rural India.” How amazing is this company? People in India are dying due to being forced to drink contaminated water full of parasites, worms, and other horrid, toxic organisms.

Faucet Face believes in BioSand Filters to help the people of India. BioSand Filters are a simple filter made of concrete. This concrete holds several layers of sand that traps and contains sediments, pathogens, and other impurities in the water. To build a BioSand Filter costs very little and requires no money to use. These filters eliminate 90-95% of impurities in the water. That is a great percentage! Faucet Face’s non-profit partners, TMA, employ local Indian people to build these filters and distribute them to their neighbors that are in need.

When a person buys between 1 and 4 bottles a portion of the sales will be combined with other customer’s purchases to make these filters. When 5 bottles are purchased one whole filter can be made. Wow! How generous is that?

So….is Faucet Face all it’s cracked up to be?

Faucet Face taste test WAHMReview

I washed and filled my bottle up with icy cold water and put the bottle to the taste test. Amazing. It was cold and refreshing. The water in the bottle did not taste at all anything like the plastic bottled water. It was crisp and had zero aftertaste. Yummy!

This product is truly changing my way of consuming water. I will never buy a case of water again! Go over to Faucet Face’s website and check out their bottles and read more about the BioSand filters. Also make sure to head on over to there facebook page as well!

Charmsations with Angie Campbell

WAHM Reviewer- Cecily Butler

charmsations logo

WOW! That’s the first thought that came to mind when I checked out Angie’s webpage at Charmstations – Angie Campbell.

These items were just so cool. Key chains and bracelets you can personalize- easily!! Not with just names but teams and companies too. I’ve seen other companies with similar items, but this one really fits my style. It’s blingy and girly with out being over the top. I LOVE it!!

When I first talked to Angie I was shocked to find out she is stationed with her husband in Korea. I loved that this company is willing to help support the families of our men and women in the military by working with them even when they are overseas. I instantly told my friend whose sister is living in Germany right now as this might be a great opportunity for her too.

When you go to the site there are several options. You can make your own or buy ready to go. They even have party kits and pet collars!! They have another section called “A Bit More Sparkle” that has a different style of bracelets and watches too.

2014-03-15 00.06.222014-03-15 00.07.01

Angie sent me a black key-chain with two blue flowers and the letters for “WAHM” on it. I LOVE it! I think it so awesome to be able to advertise for our Review company all the time. I’ve gotten several compliments on my key chain too. Not only was my keychain adorable, but I was really impressed with the quality too. The prices are really nice too!!

At this point you can’t buy the individual charms from the website yourself, but you can get them from the consultant. They are easy to switch out as well.

This is a great way to support your favorite team, cause, or company. It would also be a great incentive or just because gift. To order yourself contact Angie at Charmstations – Angie Campbell.

Get your Blog Organized with this #Bloggingplanner

Wahm Reviewer – Mary Madalene

I received this product for free to base this review on. Like always all of my opinions are my own.

From day one my blog has been something to put my words out there in the blog universe.  A few months have gone by now and I can honestly tell you that it was hard at first to get the words down on paper or on here. The reason being? Because I didn’t know where to start, I know I wanted to get those thoughts out there, I didn’t have a set schedule. I honestly started with what I knew best. Product Reviews. When it comes down to it I didn’t have the appropriate planner or scheduler to help me put my idea’s in order with what I wanted to write about.

Now mind you I wanted to have a space to talk about spirituality because it means something to me. I wanted to share what I knew about it and how I can help other’s know about the different religions, because well I find it fascinating.

I have been looking around for blog planners and a scheduler for the past little while and I was having a hard time trying to figure out which one I should go with. I also had many questions. Would it fit in with my blog? Who should I go with? Where will I start? and finally How will it help me?

52 week blog success planner

I look at a few different bloggers to get some of their feedback on which is a good one to have, and everyone that I talked to said to try Simple and Vanessa. I did read a review on my friend’s blog http://www.mommiesquietplace.com and I approached Vanessa if she would like to have another review done. I was really excited when she said YES! Down below is my review on her 52 Week Blog Success Planner.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that I was able to easily interpret. I wanted something that I could easily print off and keep in my binder or be able to edit and save my ideas right in the editable document.

I knew I found the JACKPOT. The jackpot that would help me run my blog more smoothly and with ease.

It even helps to know who is networking with you on your social media accounts. Who’s following you , who has engaged with you the most. Now mind you will have to use your brain power here to write down those who have had that engagement on your many different social media accounts (if you want to that is, but I suggest that you do so you can know about your readership).

It has also helped me to write down my goals a few weeks prior so  I know exactly what content I want to create, what day to post them, and where to share them.

Now with being diagnosed with ADD/ADHD (since a young age, and extends into my adulthood),  I needed something to keep me on track and organized or I would be all over the place and this has really really really helped me out. I can not stress that enough. So I want to thank you again Vanessa! It has been a pleasure getting to know you and be able to use your 52 week planner 🙂 .

Simple and Vanessa offer some great deals on other items in the Etsy shop such as the Blog Success Planner that I have, or customizable logo and banners, to complete Blog Design at an excellent price point.

I know in the future I want to get a logo and banner made up and sometime next year I know I want an overhaul done on the blog. I know exactly who I will be going to. I’ve looked around at a lot of theme’s and their price points and love that fact that Simple and Vanessa is really affordable and in my price range (and I don’t have to worry about coding or a lot of the “back-end” stuff).

Now most of you are probably saying : Where can I find her?

You can find her here:

Now for you my dear readers are you looking to start your own blog? Well then this 52 week Blog Success Planner will help you from day 1.  Vanessa is also offering you a discounted code to use on your purchase of the Blog Success Planner. Use BFFLOVE at checkout to get $3.00 off!

Trust me you will want to do this as well , when you sign up for Simple and Vanessa’s email subscription you will also get a 4 week blog and social content calendar as well! Now how cool is that? Sign up here and stay tuned for any new items she comes up with.

What do you use to stay organized for your blog?

Are There Monsters in My Closet? #bookreview by Jack Batcher

    WAHMReviewer – Melissa McClure

Books are my weakness, especially children’s books. I have a library in my daycare home and am a strong believer in the importance of literacy. Every child loves a good story read to them. When I was browsing Facebook and saw that Are There Monsters In My Closet by Jack Batcher was up for review I quickly pounced on the post and I was the lucky reviewer who got selected to do the review!

Are There Monsters in My Closet.

I contacted Jack via email and he quickly responded enthusiastically to my email regarding the review. Within a matter of a few days he emailed me back and already had his book in the mail heading my way. I was so excited I told my kids about our new book that was coming and they were just as excited to receive the book as I was. Each child, whether they are my own boys or my daycare kids, cannot wait for story time; a new book added to our collection…..how exciting!

Always check for Monsters

Jack’s book arrived while I was out of town for a few days and when I got home I had a wonderful package waiting for me on my counter (who doesn’t love to come home to a package?). I opened up the package and much to my surprise I had an autographed copy of the book! Both of my boys immediately wanted the book. They were flipping through the pages and smiling at the beautiful bright illustrations. It was late at night so I told them they had to go to bed that we would share the book with the daycare kids at story time the next day. With a bit of a struggle I finally got them to agree that they had to wait just a little longer to hear the story.

The day as finally come

FINALLY! The day has come! As the daycare kiddos were eating a snack, we just couldn’t wait any longer so I read “Are there monsters in my closet?” to them while they ate. This book is so well written that it was easy to do “voice changes” for the kids and act out the story a little bit while reading. All the kiddos love a good “scared” or a loud “monster” voice.

The story starts out with a little boy named Calvin who hears noises….but where are they coming from? Are they outside noises? Nope……. Did something get into his room?………….It’s definitely in the closet, but what is it?!?!? It has to be the monsters in his closet that his sisters warned him about………

The children’ couldn’t keep their eyes off the book, even the 1 year old little boy that comes. By the time that I finished the story the kids were begging for me to read the story again. Needless to say I ended up reading the story 2 more times after the original reading. Then the kids carried the book all over the house and “read” the book to each other, usually turning to the page that had the “monster” on the page.

   Thank you Jack

Roughly 9 years ago Jack’s sister Cheryl was due to have her third child, Calvin, join their family along with her two daughters Brinna and Melody. This thought sent Jack’s memories into motion. He remembers playing pranks and other tricks on his family members thus leading him to the idea of this book.

Jack started his search in 2004 to find the perfect illustrator that could give him the illustrations that would make his story really come to life. Almost 10 years later after many ups and downs he met Charles Berton at The Artist Pad in Smithtown in 2013. Charles like his story and agreed to do the illustrations for “Are there monsters in my closet?”

On May 25, 2013 the book was finally published.

Jack’s book is available through his website at http://www.jackbatcher.comas well as Amazon.

Also while you are out surfing the web for Jack’s book, check out his Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/authorjackbatcher) and give it a “like” while you’re there.

Grey and Green Summer Yumminess! #skincare #beauty

WAHMReviewer – Amie Kelp

I was excited to have the opportunity to review for Grey and Green! Jen has a similar passion as mine for going as natural as possible with bath and body care and after talking with her a bit and learning more about her SLS and detergent free soaps, I was so ready to try out her products. I love that she uses natural bases for her lotions and body butters, as well as a wide variety of essential and fragrance oils.

Green and Grey Products

I received a sweet little package a few days later from Grey and Green and I opened it with excitement! Wrapped in little organza bags were yummy little containers of body butter, a lotion bar, a coffee scrub, Tardis molded hand soaps and a sweet little rose shaped coconut milk soap with a banana fragrance that was amazingly yummy!

Immediately I opened each little tub and loved all of the fragrances and couldn’t decide which to try first! Since it was mid afternoon and I didn’t have time to lather up and indulge head to toe in banana fragrance of the coconut milk soap, I went for the Whipped Body Butter scented with Margarita Lime which was sweet with a perfect hint of lime. I applied a bit to the back of my hand to test out the fragrance on me and to feel the consistency of the Shea butter, Coconut oil, Almond oil and fragrance blend. Super yummy and refreshing fragrance! After using this whipped body butter a few times, I continued to love the lime scent and the whipped blend absorbed well into my skin. There was an exfoliant of some sort blended into the butter that I did not personally care for, but overall I really enjoyed it and it’s summery fragrance.

Lotion Bar
The second little tin that I opened was the Grey and Green Lotion Bar. This Orange Cream Vanilla scented bar was so interesting to me! I love the concept of a “bar” of lotion! How many times have I had a bottle of lotion leak in my purse or drop it to have it bust open and make a mess! Lol…I was ready to try this lotion bar of coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax with orange cream vanilla fragrance. Can you imagine an orange creamsicle moisturizing your skin? Yummy! I might add, this layered with the Margarita Lime Whipped body butter was sooooooo yumalicious! Back to the lotion bar…it comes in a little silver tin and was cylinder in shape, I tipped the tin upside down to get the lotion to pop out in my hand. I wasn’t sure exactly how to “apply” the lotion, so I just rubbed it on the back of my hand and plenty came off on my hands as I held it too. I put the bar back in the tin and massaged in the lotion that was on my skin from the bar. This one has beeswax in it, which I assume helps hold some of its shape and firmness of the bar, but beeswax also gives extra protection for the skin locking in moisture, which I love…but that also means it takes a little longer to absorb into the skin like most natural based products. I don’t mind this because I know the many benefits of the ingredients. I did have one funny moment with the lotion bar while applying it at bedtime one night. As I was trying to rub the bar on the heels of my feet, the warmth of my hands made the bar a bit slippery and it slipped out of my hands just like a bar of soap in the shower flying across the room! Lol…I have been a bit more careful since then and have not sent the lotion bar flying! This would be a perfect way to travel with lotion, esp when flying and you don’t want a lotion bottle leaking in your toiletries bag!

Keeping up with the summery scents, I tried the Grey and Green coconut milk banana soap. This soap has a very yummy banana scent and has a nice lather to it. I don’t think it was as cleansing as I needed after workouts, but I found it a great luxury soap and was perfect for layering with other fruity summer scents.

The Tardis soaps from Dr. Who, I have been saving for my daughter’s birthday, but she caught a glimpse of them and was over the top excited! She is a HUGE Dr. Who fan and I don’t know if she will choose to use the soaps or keep them as fun “trinkets” to display with all of her fun girly favorite items…either way, she LOVES them and that is all that matters when it comes to molded decorative soaps! These are perfect for any Dr. Who fan! Jen has a variety of other molded soaps that were a lot of fun! Everything from Hello Kitty to pink little hand guns…lol…those would be a perfect gift for some one!

The last item I enjoyed from Grey and Green was the Orange Coffee Sugar Scrub. This was a great pick me up in the morning, whether I used it head to toe in the shower or as a quick hand scrub to exfoliate and add a bit of moisture when washing my hands. The coffee and white sugar scrub was a nice exfoliant, without being too harsh or scratchy. I love the coffee and orange scent, but I would like to have just a bit more of the almond oil base to help hold the coffee grounds together a bit more and that extra touch of moisture that I love from almond oil, but others might find that to be a bit too “oily” if they don’t care for natural oil moisturizers. This would already have the perfect consistency for them!

Be sure to check out Grey and Green on facebook or at her Etsy shop.
